2012 New Years Day 5k online slideshow with New Year’s Hopeful theme music
Commemorative New Year’s Eve Day – Celebrating Hope 5k shirt serves as a reminder to keep up our daily RxExercise, walk/run with loved ones, and achieve all our worthy resolutions.
Heated indoor restrooms; holiday music & annnouncer; free photography & fabulous online slideshow; CCREW volunteers warm & helpful hospitality; post-race treats & after party at Ol’ Mexico Restaurante where we can each celebrate & tell about our past year’s resolutions achievements and predict our most Hopeful New Year’s Resolutions Challenges.
Free & convenient parking lots alongside start/finish area, with added police security hired by Charities Challenge.
Race Day Schedule:
1:15 PM - CC Race Event Worker (CCREW) volunteers set up registration inside Black Bear Crossings Cafe with entertainment, and outdoor course, entertainment & hot/cold refreshments & healthful post-race treats.
1:45 PM - Pre-registered check-in opens for bib #s & shirts pick-up near start/finish historic pavilion on Como Lake.
1:45 PM - Race Day Registration ($40) opens.
2:45 PM - Race Day Registration closes.
2:50 PM - Start line assembles final race day instructions
3 PM - START! 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Day - Hopeful 5k & 1.5 Mile Fitness Walk.
4 PM - CCREW begin course clean-up.
4:30 PM - Join fellow runners & walkers and the CCREW Volunteers at CC’s New Year’s Eve Day 5k CCREWards Post-race Party @ Ol’ Mexico Restaurante a few minutes north of Como Lake on Lexington Ave. Ol’ Mexico is offering their hearty brunch and/or special 2-for-1 beverages to anyone displaying their commemorative bib number or race shirt.
